Volvo Group IT in Wroclaw, is looking for candidates for the position of Quality Assurance Specialist IT (Automation Test Engineer)


Assignment description:
The Quality Assurance Specialist IT plans, designs, executes and manages the test effort both to the business and IT organization. Through automated test scripts Test Engineer secures that the quality of the developed and deployed solution meets the demands stated in requirements and acceptance criteria. The unique combination of analytical and technical skills allows the Quality Assurance Specialist IT to verify the quality of applications used in Volvo Group.


Main responsibilities:
• Cooperate with business representative and IT management to specify and agree on the scope of testing
• Ensure test requirements are reviewed, clear and testable
• Create and maintain test cases and test scenarios
• Create automated test scripts as needed and make sure defined coding standards are followed
• Write own code and analyze results.
• Continuous improvement of existing automation scripts
• Identify and describe opportunities for successful implementation of test automation
• Gather and manage test data
• Execute test cases as per defined criteria and maintain test results
• Ensure all defects are correctly reported, analyzed, assigned or escalated when needed
• Provide inputs to the project manager/delivery manager and the project team about potential risks, current quality of the product and status of test activities
• Support during User Acceptance Testing


Required competencies:
• Excellent communication skills
• Very good English skills
• Minimum 3 years of experience with software testing
• Experience with test automation tools (e.g. HP QTP/UFT, MS Visual Studio, Selenium WebDriver)
• Good knowledge of test methodologies (Agile, V-Model, etc.)
• Good knowledge of any scripting language (or programming language)
• Basic experience with SQL
• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related
• ISTQB Foundation certification


Nice to have:
• Experience in executing non-functional tests using dedicated tools (e.g. MS Visual Studio, Load Runner, JMeter or similar)
• ISTQB advanced level certification
• ITIL certification
